About
Rick is a writer based in Washington, D.C. pursuing a career in something totally unrelated to writing. He envisions this might be useful for something deep and world-changing, but has recently had illusions shattered that such a revolution might pay his rent.
He has little slips of paper stickered inside his passport allowing him unfettered entry into other sovereign nations, proving that neither border security nor cynicism are anything like they used to be.
He is passionate about history, stories, politics, languages, caffeinated beverages, and creativity. The best advice he’s ever gotten was in high school, from an older and wiser friend, who told him: “Do one thing every year that scares the crap out of you.”
Words to live by.
